How well does adequan work for dogs?

How long does it take to see results from adequan?
The drug is injected intramuscularly to ensure it reaches the critical parts of the joint. It goes to work in the joint in about two hours and stays in the joint for about three days. With Adequan Canine you should see signs of improvement within four weeks.
Does adequan make dogs tired?
Adverse reactions in clinical studies (transient pain at injection site, transient diarrhea, and abnormal bleeding) were mild and self-limiting. In post approval experience, death has been reported in some cases vomiting, anorexia, depression/lethargy and diarrhea have also been reported.
Does adequan reduce inflammation?

Can you give a dog too much adequan?
Administer twice weekly for up to 4 weeks (maximum of 8 injections) at approved dosage of 2 mg/lb body weight (0.02 mL/lb or 1 mL/50 lb) by intramuscular (IM) injection only. Do not exceed the recommended dose or therapeutic regimen. Do not mix Adequan® Canine with other drugs or solvents.
Does adequan work immediately?
Following IM administration, Adequan reaches synovial tissue within 2 hours, and persists in the joint for at least 72 hours. Significant improvement has been shown after 4 weeks of treatment, but studies have not evaluated efficacy before this time point.
Where do you inject adequan in a dog?
How is Adequan given? Adequan is given as an injection either in the muscle or under the skin (subcutaneously). The dose is tapered down from twice weekly initially, to once monthly. These shots are typically not painful and relatively easy for owners to administer at home with some instruction.
How often can my dog have Cartrophen injections?
Cartrophen is injected under the skin. It is usually administered once a week for four weeks. Any dog or cat that has had joint surgery or joint damage some time in their life could benefit from a cartrophen injection course.
When is it time to euthanize a dog with arthritis?
Stage 4: Pain can be severe at this stage. Lack of mobility is a life threatening disease – dogs who can’t get up or walk anymore usually are euthanized. This is the stage we are trying to prevent by intervening early.
